*Fee waivers are available for some families with financial need. Students can visit the College and Career Center to receive a fee waiver.

Should I take the SAT or ACT?

Colleges have no preference, so you should take the exam that you can do better on. This is different for each student so it is recommended that you take both. Colleges will only consider your highest score.

When should I take the SAT and/or ACT?

Sophomores: Take the PSAT to practice for the SAT

Juniors: In the fall, take the PSAT/NMSQT to practice for the SAT and potentially earn scholarship money.
In the spring, study and take the SAT and ACT and then retake the exam you prefer

Seniors: In the fall, if you want to improve your scores, study and retake the SAT or ACT
