Another Successful Year for the NHS Turkey Drive

Before we left on break, NHS was extremely busy putting the final touches on our food drive. They were able to feed 35 families from OGHS! Staff and students were extremely generous with donations this year along with Orchard Church which donated 40 turkeys to our event! Thank you all so much for helping to collect food items, counseling for helping with our list, those who helped us promote, and a huge thank you to our drivers who gave up part of their Friday before break to help us with this wonderful event.

Olga Diaz, City Council member and Interim Dean of Counseling at Palomar, supplied copies of his book for each of our attending students at the Escondido Center for the Arts. They received a shout out at the onset of his keynote address, got their books autographed by Secretary Reich and photos taken with him. It was a rich learning experience.
