Holocaust Survivor Visits Orange Glen

Holocaust survivor, Nachum Kerpilevich visits Ms. Copeland's World History class. Mr. Kerpilevich was born in Sep 1933 in the Vinnista region of what is now Ukraine. During WWII this region was occupied by Romanian troops and an 8 yr old Nachum spent two years and 8 months in a local ghetto.

College Application & Financial Aid Season!

The Counseling Team will be providing regular assistance with college applications, FAFSA and the Dream Act throughout the months of October and November.

Counselors will be available in the College and Career Center from 7:45-2:45 (including break and lunch) on: Tue-10/03, Fri-10/06, Mon-10/09, Tue- 10/10, Tue- 10/17, Fri- 10/20, Tue- 10/24, Fri- 10/27, Tue- 10/31, Fri- 11/03, Mon- 11/06, Thur- 11/09, Tue- 11/14, Fri-11/17, Tue- 11/28, Wed- 11/29

Students can come in during Unscheduled periods or during class time with a note from the teacher saying it’s OK. Counselors will also be available in the College and Career Center every Thursday in October and November after school from 2:45-4:00pm.

Big Virtual College Fair

82 Orange Glen students participated in the virtual online college fair sponsored by The Big Virtual College Admissions Fair. Students learned about loads of colleges and their programs.

Parent Computer Classes Opening Night

Martha Sarabia, OGHS Parent Liaison, coordinated a full night of personalized computer classes and Parent Vue login help. All parent meetings will take place on Wednesdays from 5:30-8:00 p.m. Topics will be updated on the school calendar weekly. Stay tuned for more parent events.

School Pantry Dates and Times

Feeding San Diego will be on campus at Orange Glen High School from 2:30-3:15 p.m. on October 5 & 19, November 2 & 16, December 7, January 18, February 1 & 15, March 1 & 16, April 5 & 19, and May 3. This is open to all families who have children who attend OGHS. All families can obtain 20-25 lbs. of fresh produce and staple items, you choose what you want. The food is first come, first served. Please bring your own bags.

Super Snack

Students interested in taking advantage of the after school snack may pick up food at the open cafeteria windows. Snacks are free and available to any student interested.

EUHSD Inspirational Student of the Month: OGHS's Maria Gonzalez

Please congratulate Maria Gonzalez for being selected to receive the EUHSD Inspirational Student of the Month recognition. She is an outstanding student and ASB representative, student-athlete, and member of the OG community.
