Upcoming Testing Calendar

Testing season is upon us. Attached is a calendar of all testing for Spring 2019 at OG. If you have any questions about the schedule, please contact Assistant Principal Jamie Lee at Please encourage students to give their absolute best on the CAASPP exams this year – these scores will impact their ability to obtain the State Seal of Biliteracy, earn the Golden State Merit Seal, breeze into college level courses as “Ready”, and meet College Career Index metrics for various pathways.

Panda Express Band Fundraiser

The Orange Glen High School Music Department and the Orange Glen Music Booster Association will be hosting another Panda Express fundraiser at the 1485 E. Valley Parkway location this Wednesday (3/27/19) from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Twenty percent (20%) of your bill will be donated to our music booster organization when the attached flyer is presented to the cashier. Please help our wonderful student musicians by enjoying some delicious food. We hope to see you there!

Inspirational Student of the Month - Raul Chavez

Congratulations to our Inspirational Student of the Month, Raul Chavez. Raul was honored last night by the Escondido Union High School Board of Education for his tremendous tenacity and quiet determination to succeed in school despite numerous personal obstacles.

Raul was also recognized this morning by the Escondido Chamber of Commerce as OGHS’s Rising Star for the month of February. His speeches at both events were extremely heart-felt and very uplifting. Congratulations Raul!

Low cost computers for qualifying high school students

C2SDK a program that provides computer systems to students who are qualified to receive free or reduced price lunches. So far, over 675 computer systems have been purchased by EUHSD families. Applications and fliers are also available at your school's receptionist's desk. Click for more information.

Culinary Hosts Elementary Students

Our wonderful Culinary Department is hosting 80 fourth graders from Conway Elementary today. The boys and girls were thrilled to get their new Orange Glen aprons and will be working with our students in all three culinary rooms today. Click to link to a Union Tribune article!

Palomar College Field Trip

The Palomar College Field Trip for SENIORS ONLY is scheduled for Friday, February 22. We will depart from OGHS at 8:00 AM and return to campus at 1:30 PM. Permission Slips are available in the College & Career Center. We will tour the campus, learn about student services and meet with an Advisor for an education plan, which consists of all the courses students are to take in order to reach their academic goal(s) at Palomar. This can include a certificate, Associates Degree and/or transferring to a 4-year university.
