What is Financial Aid?
Financial aid is money to help pay for college or career school. Grants, work-study, loans, and scholarships help afford college or career school.
 
There are two types of Financial Aid you can apply to. 
1. Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
2. California Dream Act Application (CADAA)

2024-2025 Financial Aid will open in December.

  • Please ensure you have collected all the required documents to complete the application process.

¿Qué es la ayuda financiera?

Once you apply and are admitted to colleges, they will provide you with a financial aid package.

There is a pathway to success for every student at Palomar College! Palomar Pathways are designed to help you choose your path to an Associate degree or certificate, transfer to a 4-year institution, or gain the skills you need to start your career. Review certificate and degree program maps that show you the semester by semester course plan from start to finish. You can view information on occupations and careers, salaries, and the demand for workers in your chosen field. Click on the Palomar Pathway below that interests you. Please make an appointment with a counselor to review details specific to your goals. All AA, AS, AA-T and AS-T degrees require 60 completed units.

As a result of the pandemic, some colleges have permanently made the SAT and ACT testing requirements optional. Although UC's and CSU's don't mandate these exams, some private and out-of-state universities may require them. It's crucial to review all requirements before applying to any institution.
