Brief Explanation of School Site Council (SSC)

The OGHS School Site Council is a decision-making body that consists of a group of dedicated staff, students, and parents who work with the principal to develop, review, and evaluate school improvement programs (School Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA) and federal funds associated with this plan (Title I Funds). All members of the School Site Council are elected by their peers (i.e. teachers elect teachers, parents elect parents, etc.).  Nominations and elections happen every Fall (in September/October).

The OGHS School Site Council is a great way to be involved with the school and offers members a chance to help make school-wide decisions, be informed on what is happening on campus, and help make OGHS a better school for all.

School Site Council meetings are open to all, but only SSC members are able to vote or take action during meetings.  Meetings happen monthly and are accessible both in person and virtually (via Microsoft Teams).  All meetings start at 3:45pm and are in Conf. Room #1 in the Administration building
