Missed tests must be made up before the progress reports. Follow all class and school rules. Discipline will follow the table in the student handbook.

CLASS RULES FOR EARTH SCIENCE

1. Students are expected to treat each other and the teacher with respect and courtesy.  Inappropriate behavior which distracts from the learning of others will not be tolerated.

2. Students are required to bring their textbook, science notebook, paper, pencils or pens to class each day.

3. Students are expected to enter class, be seated and be ready to learn before the tardy (final) bell. All tardy students will be assigned detention.

4. Food and drinks are not allowed in the classroom at any time.  This is for your safety as well as being a measure to maintain a clean class.  Many lab materials in the room are very toxic. All snacks must be finished outside prior to the sprint bell.  Students entering the class at the tardy bell will be marked tardy.

5. Cell phones and music players are not allowed to be used in class and will be confiscated if seen. No cameras. No headphones. Calculators used for game playing will be confiscated.

6. Do not copy. Do not cheat. Students are expected to turn in their own individual work. Cheating on tests and quizzes will result in a zero point grade for the test on the first occurrence, and expulsion from the class on the second.

7. Tests, labs, and homework which are missed due to one excused absence may be made up.  Work missed due to truancy may not be made up.

8. Clean and straighten your desk area before leaving. Remain in your seat until the bell rings, or the teacher excuses you from class.

9. No late work will be taken unless you had an excused absence.

10. Do all assignments, study hard, and you will do well in this class.
