In preparation for a successful educational experience in high school, English 10 focuses on reading and writing. Students are challenged to read two million words this year. Better readers make better learners. Tenth grade is a high stakes year. For the first time, students have the opportunity to take and pass the high school exit exam. Data shows that the test is easiest the first time! While improving reading and writing skills and mastering the essential standards for 10th grade, we will also focus on every skill needed to pass the high school exit exam.
