Hi Patriots and Patriot Families!
I am a relatively new member of the Orange Glen Patriots - I arrived here to become one of your assistant principals in August 2016. I have been working with teenagers in a capacity as teacher, leader, mentor, coach, and administrator for over 15 years. I earned a:
- Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Spanish with a General Business minor from the University of Wisconsin at Parkside,
- Masters of Education (M.Ed.) in Special Education and K-12 Teaching Credentials from the University of Illinois at Chicago,
- Masters of Arts (MA) in Intercultural Studies and Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages, and
- Masters of Education (M.Ed.) in Education and Organizational Leadership from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Just as I expect students to develop a love of learning as a lifelong habit, I could not stop myself from returning to school this past summer. I am currently enrolled in a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) Global Executive Education program through the University of Southern California.
Escondido is truly the hidden valley in north county with access to some of San Diego's best sites - I have been a resident for approximately 5 years, where I live with my husband and two beautiful dogs, Maddie and Indy. I love going to the Safari Park and Westfield Mall, running through the rolling hills, or simply dropping by some of the great restaurants in Escondido. "Hablo espanol" and "Wo hue shuo yi diar putonghua," and in my spare time, I like to study languages, such as Portuguese, Mandarin Chinese, and Korean. I am a native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, but I lived in Chicago, Illinois many years before moving to Escondido. I look forward to growing and learning alongside the many great people of Escondido.
