History of our School
The 60s
1962: Orange Glen opens its doors with Pat Ross as the first principal.
1964: Orange Glen holds its first commencement ceremony.The school mascot, Grumpy, (modeled after Mr. Ross) makes his first appearance.
1967: CIF Football championship
1967: Snow blankets the OG campus
The 70s
1972: OG Band marches in the Rose Parade on New Years Day
1979: Mike Munson is the first of many OG students to get into Harvard
The 80s
1980-81: Sean Salisbury sets all of our passing records,makes prep all-America, then goes to USC and starts for them in 1984 and 85.
The 90s
1996: OG honors Sean Salisbury who lands on the OG football field in a helicopter
1997: Richard Brown is honored by having the science building named after him
1998: The first Final Cut Film Festival takes place
The 00s
2000: OG band represents all of California at the Millennium Cotton Bowl
2002: OG has first Snow Riders Club Trip to Mountain High School Resort and have since had no hospital visits by any student participants
2005: Video Production students win first place IVIE award
2006: OG chosen as one of Newsweeks "Best High Schools in America"
2007: Boys soccer team wins the CIF San Diego Section Division II championships
2008: Marine Corp Silent Drill Platoon and the Drum and Bugle Corp performs at OG
2009: Tom Allison becomes our newest principal
2009: The new Learning and Career Center building opens its doors

2010: OG Yearbook wins First Place in student showcase at the Del Mar Fair.
