Parent Education
Orange Glen High School is dedicated to working with parents to help their students succeed in school and beyond. Parent Education programs and classes are offered throughout the year.

A tour of the Orange Glen campus, spotlighting the great programs and educational opportunities of the school.
 
Title: PTSO Meeting: "Positive Discipline in our Homes; Charter School Presentation"
Location: OGHS Library
Dates: Wednesday, September 8
Time: 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. 
A discussion about how we can positively discipline our children to build respect and to develop succesful and happy adults. There will also be a brief presentation regarding a charter school proposal.
 
Title: Great Start in High School: Helping your 9th Grader Thrive
Dates: Thursday, September 9           6:30 p.m. in the OG Library
              Wednesday, September 15   9:00 a.m.  in the Career Center
Come out and discuss ways to help your student make a strong transition to high school.  Also, you will find out about the many opportunities at OGHS.
 
Title: ELAC Meeting: Plans for the Future; Successes of Today
Location: OGHS Library
Date: Thursday, September 16
Time: 6:00-8:00 p.m.
Our first English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC) meeting will feature a potluck dinner and performance by our Ballet Folklorico celebrating Mexican Independence Day. Principal Tom Allison will review the successes of the past year, future plans and the challenges of the future. There will also be a presentation of the School's new English Language Development curriculum. All parents, siblings and family are welcome.

What is Title 1? How does OG use Title 1 funds? Whay are my kids involved? Come and hear what we have done in past years, and give input on how we can improve the school.
 
Title: Patriot Parent Night

Time: 6:30-8:00 p.m..
Join the OGHS Counseling family for an evening filled with information about preparing students for college. The evening will include presentatiuons by local universities about admissions, financial aid, academic preparation and application procedures.  Vital for all parents and students.
