Principal Call out Message for 9/28/09

 Hi this is OGHS principal Tom Allison.  I am calling you tonight with a very important message.  We have been informed that there has been a confirmed case of Tuberculosis or TB on our campus.  In conjunction with the County Department of Public Health Services we are taking the necessary steps to provide information and guidance on the appropriate actions that should now be taken.Today, letters were sent home to those students believed to have been exposed and exposed teachers have been notified.  If you receive this letter, please sign and return the test consent form to the Orange Glen High School nurse’s office.  At this time it is suggested that only those identified students and staff receive a TB skin test.Please be assured that we, along with San Diego County health professionals, are here to help you and your family with any questions or concerns you may have.  On Thursday, October 1, 2009, staff from the County TB Control Branch will be providing a health education session in our gym at 6:30 p.m.The health and safety of all students remains a top priority for us. Your cooperation and the participation of your child will help to keep OGHS strong and healthy.

Buenas tardes, estamos llamando esta tarde por parte del director Tom Allison de Orange Glen High School con un mensaje de gran importancia. Nos han informado que tenemos un caso confirmado de Tuberculosis en nuestro plantel. Juntos con el Departamento de servicios de salud del condado estamos tomando los pasos necesarios para proporcionar la información y orientación sobre las acciones apropiadas que deben tomarse ahora.

 

Hoy enviamos cartas a casa para esos estudiantes quienes creemos fueron expuestos y les hemos avisado a esos maestros expuestos también. Si recibe esta carta, por favor firme y regresa la hoja dando permiso para la prueba aquí en Orange Glen High School por parte de la oficina de enfermería. En este momento estamos sugiriéndoles solamente a esos estudiantes y maestros expuestos recibir la prueba de piel para tuberculosis.

 

Por favor, tengan seguro que nosotros, juntos con los profesionales de salud del condado de San Diego estamos aquí para ayudarles a ustedes y sus familias con cualquier pregunta o preocupación que tenga. El día jueves, 1ro de octubre del 2009, estarán presentes personal de la sección de control de tuberculosis para proporcionar una sesión educativa en el gimnasio a las 6:30 de la tarde.
